Mental Health & Wellness Center, LLC is a mental health clinic conveniently located in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Co-owners and clinical therapists Carol R. Loose, LCSW, RPT, CATP and Lee-Anne Vaughn, MBA, LCSW offer mental health counseling to children, adolescents, and adults. Therapy types include individual therapy , family therapy, and group therapy. Our mission at Mental Health & Wellness Center, LLC is to address a client’s mental health needs through evidenced-based therapies, education, and support services.

Individual therapy can be beneficial to to persons of all ages, child, adolescent and adults. Individual therapy is the opportunity to work one-on-one with your therapist in a safe, non-judgmental environment. This individualized work can be extremely beneficial with navigating a number of life struggles, circumstances and challenges. In individual therapy the therapist helps you to explore, address and navigate distressing emotions, unhelpful behaviors, painful memories, and/or challenging life circumstances. Mental Health & Wellness Center, LLC utilizes a number of evidence-based practices to assist clients in individual therapy. A few of these practices include: CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, Play Therapy, EMDR and, ACT.

Family therapy was created to help the family as a unit. Typically, in family therapy all family members are present for sessions, though this may vary from at times, depending on the specific needs of a family. Family therapy can be a valuable tool in addressing specific struggles in the family unit, such as conflict resolution, differing communication styles, or anger management. The therapist can assist the family in identifying family dynamics and patterns. This exploration can lead to family members identifying healthier ways of interacting and more productive communication among family members, which can decrease conflict among family members and thus improve quality of life.
When navigating hard things, it sometimes helps to recognize you are not alone. Group therapy is the opportunity for several clients to discuss, reflect and share thoughts about a specific challenge, under the guidance of a therapist. Grief, anger management, social skills and stress management are a few topics where group therapy would be beneficial. CBT, DBT or ACT may be utilized in the group therapy setting.
